Heike Frohnhoff, born in Ratingen, currently lives with her family in Solingen, Germany, where she was musically supported by her parents at a very early age and had her first public appearances at the age of 10. During her school years the musical talent was recognized and a well-founded vocal and instrumental basis was laid. Heike was involved at this time in many concerts, both in choirs among other things as a soloist as well as in orchestras (transverse flute/recorder). During this time the first recordings were released. A few years later a musical turnaround followed and the multi-instrumentalist devoted herself to high baroque rock. Appearances in churches in the combination recorder / organ left many soulful people behind. Unfortunately, singing fell completely out of sight during this time because the right music - for your feelings - was not found. Heike Frohnhoff organized bottle parties in the dark season with Irish music in the combination of tin whistle / guitar and author readings for the fun of it. She got to know a young guitarist and they had some evenings together, because the human and musical spark immediately jumped over, they met again to make music together. Among other things a little jazz was played. That was the music Heike had always been looking for and which was always in her. Heike bought herself a vibraphone and began taking lessons with Matthias Goebel in Düsseldorf. "Singing jazz/blues is like telling stories to me. It does something very serious to me. I find myself in a completely free space when I am singing... I am completely detached from all constraints. I am really completely me when I am singing." (Heike AnnA Frohnhoff) A very pleasant voice colour, sound multiplicity and the musical element of surprise make this singer so worth listening to. And she loves jazz and blues classics and her possibility to come along very vocally is predestined to sing in a big band. Heike Frohnhoff's life motto is: "Not one should - but do!"
